Nothing is more fortifying that a big bowl of noodle soup on a miserable rainy day. So it's Pho Hung to the rescue. Pho Hung is a chain of pho shops and on this particular occasion, I tried out their Springvale outlet. Just a head's up in case you are first timer - Pho Hung is actually within the arcade and the street frontage is off Buckingham Ave.
The pho noodle soup come into a small ($9), regular ($10) and large
($11). I ordered
a large sliced braised beef (just because it was only $2 more and the bowl
looks twice as big) which came impressively quickly. The pho broth was deeelicious - complex in flavour, yet light. The freshness was provided by the mint, bean sprouts, coriander and spring onions.
Good value, cheap healthy eats.
